- ROSS 308
Are known to be rugged and hardy, they don't come down with diseases quite often especially if your farm management is good. The strain from Globus seem to be the most preferred.
- COBB 500
Are excellent converters of feed to meat, mightnot be as Hardy as Ross 308 but believe me, you cant regret buying them. At slaughter, their weight is usually very impressive. You can get them from Zartech farms.
- ARBOR ACRE/ARBOR ACRE+
When you need a breed of broiler to convert feed to meat in a very short time, this breed should be your target. In 5-6 weeks you have your result. Don't forget, result is based on your input. Amo farms, Farm Support etc are your best plugs.
- MARSHALL
This is the giant of the broiler family, they might not grow as fast as the others but at maturity, they stand head and shoulder above other breeds. Obasanjo farms is notable for this breed.
